The Miracle of Repentance

We are journeying through the book of Matthew. Today we are talking about the miracle of repentance. Mat 11:20  Then He began to upbraid the cities in which most of His mighty works were done, because they did not repent.  Mat 11:21  Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful acts which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes!  Mat 11:22  But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.  Mat 11:23  And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to the heaven, shall be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works which have been done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.  Mat 11:24  But I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.

The Nazirite vs The Nazarene

We are journeying through the book of Matthew. Today we are comparing the nazirite vs the nazarene. Mat 11:18  For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a demon.  Mat 11:19  The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man who is a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax-collectors and sinners. But wisdom was justified by her children.

The Spirit Realm is Aggresive

We are journeying through the book of Matthew. Today we are talking about the aggression of the spiritual realm. Mat 11:12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of Heaven is taken by violence, and the violent take it by force.  Mat 11:13  For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.  Mat 11:14  And if you will receive it, this is Elijah who is to come.

Yea, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet.  For this is the one of whom it is written, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You."  Truly I say to you, Among those who have been born of women there has not risen a greater one than John the Baptist. The Poison is inside of You!

Numbers 21, John 14 Num 21:4  And they pulled up stakes from Mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the soul of the people was very discouraged because of the way.  Num 21:5  And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water. And our soul hates this light bread.  Num 21:6  And Jehovah sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people. And many people of Israel died.  Num 21:7  And the people came to Moses and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against Jehovah and against you. Pray to Jehovah that He take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.  Num 21:8  And Jehovah said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole. And it shall be when everyone that is bitten, when he looks upon it, he shall live.  Num 21:9  And Moses made a serpent of bronze, and put it upon a pole. And it happened that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked upon the serpent of brass, he lived.  Joh 14:1  Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.  Joh 14:2  In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  Joh 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also.  Joh 14:4  And where I go you know, and the way you know.  Joh 14:5  Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way?  Joh 14:6  Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.  Joh 14:7  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. And from now on you know Him and have seen Him.  Joh 14:8  Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.  Joh 14:9  Jesus said to him, Have I been with you such a long time and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father?  Joh 14:10  Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The Words that I speak to you I do not speak of Myself, but the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works.  Joh 14:11  Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the very works themselves.  Joh 14:12  Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father.  Joh 14:13  And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  Joh 14:14  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.  Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit Joh 14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.  Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,  Joh 14:17  the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.  Joh 14:18  I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.  Joh 14:19  Yet a little while and the world does not see Me any more. But you see Me. Because I live, you shall live also.  Joh 14:20  At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.  Joh 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.  Joh 14:22  Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?  Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.  Joh 14:24  He who does not love Me does not keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me. Joh 14:25  I have spoken these things to you, being present with you.  Joh 14:26  But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. Joh 14:27  Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  Joh 14:28  You have heard how I said to you, I go away and I am coming to you again. If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I go to the Father, for My Father is greater than I.  Joh 14:29  And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens you might believe.  Joh 14:30  I shall no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me.

We are journeying through the book of Matthew this week we are a Matt 11:1 -6 Mat 11:1  And it happened, when Jesus had finished commanding His twelve disciples, He left there to teach and to proclaim in their cities.  Mat 11:2  But when John heard in the prison of the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples.  Mat 11:3  And they said to Him, Are You he who should come, or do we look for another?  Mat 11:4  Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John again those things which you hear and see:  Mat 11:5  the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel proclaimed to them.  Mat 11:6  And blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in Me.
